HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2014-312CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2014-312 A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR BASS LAKE TENNIS COURT REHABILITATION PROJECT (PRK40018) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the rehabilitation of the Bass Lake Park Tennis/Basketball courts, City Project No PRK 40018, were received, opened and tabulated according to law on September 12, 2014, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and COMPANY NAME BID PACKAGE 1 (ProBounce) BID PACKAGE 2 (Tile System) Dermco-LaVine Construction $128,000.00 $86,000.00 Munson, Inc $69,386.00 Upper Midwest Athletic $166,800.00 $112,640.00 WHEREAS, the apparent responsible low bidder on Bid Package 1 (ProBounce) is Dermco-LaVine Construction in the amount of $128,000.00; and WHEREAS, the apparent responsible low bidder on Bid Package 2 (Tile System) is Munson, Inc. in the amount of $69,386.00; and WHEREAS, based on bid amounts and City consultant recommendation, staff recommends accepting the bid from Dermco-LaVine Construction for Bid Package 1 (ProBounce) and Munson, Inc. for Bid Package 2 (Tile System); and WHEREAS, Dermco-LaVine Construction and Munson, Inc. qualifications and work performance are compliant with the City's Responsible Bidder qualification policy; and WHEREAS, The Bass Lake Park tennis/basketball court rehabilitation project is scheduled in the CIP for 2014 for $220,000.00 utilizing the Park Replacement Fund. The overall estimated project cost based on the award of bid packages ($197,386), consultant ($15,850) and other equipment costs ($6700) will be $219,936. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the staff is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract with Dermco-LaVine Construction for Bid Package 1 (ProBounce) and Munson, Inc. for Bid Package 2 (Tile System) for the rehabilitation of the Bass Lake Park tennis/basketball courts, City Project No PRK 40018 is hereby approved. APPROVED this 23rd day of September, 2014.
