Special Council Meeting
August 19, 2014
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 6:00 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on August 19, 2014.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Wosje, Willis, Prom, Johnson, and
Bildsoe.
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Community Development Director Juetten, Public
Works Director Cote, Administrative Services Director Fischer, Park and Recreation Director
Evans, Deputy Park and Recreation Director Northway, Police Chief Goldstein, Fire Chief Kline,
Deputy Fire Chief Springer, Human Resources Manager Kone, Finance Manager Bursheim, and
City Clerk Engdahl.
2015 Budget and 2015-2019 Capital Improvements Program
Staff discussed the proposed 2015 budget by departments and the 2015-1019 Capital
Improvements Program. The Council requested additional information on the following items
for the next budget study session on August 26:
Transit fare revenue
Street maintenance plow truck
Police tasers
Contingency fund
Data on permit revenue
Mass notification system
Suggested revisions to the surplus request list
Tax impact estimations
Adiournment
Motion was made by Councilmember Bildsoe, and seconded by Councilmember Johnson, to
adjourn the meeting at 9:30 p.m. With all members voting in favor, the motion carried.
