A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT AND CALLING FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE VICKSBURG LANE Et ROCKFORD ROAD SIDEWALK
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 12023
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted August 14, 2012, a
report has been prepared with reference to the area located on the south side of Rockford Road
from Vicksburg Lane to the east property line of 15725 Rockford Road and the east side of
Vicksburg Lane from Rockford Road to 200 feet south of the north property line of 15800 37th
Avenue; and
and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the installation of concrete sidewalk;
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on August 14, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with
the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the
designated Vicksburg Lane & Rockford Road Sidewalk Improvement Project,
City Project No. 12023 for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398,
as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $47,261.50.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 11th day
of September, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at
3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the
improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of
such improvement.
