RESOLUTION No. 2012-230
A RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACT FOR
PLYMOUTH BLVD. MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 12006
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvements in the Plymouth
Blvd. Mill and Overlay Project including Plymouth Blvd., from State Highway 55 to Rockford
Road for the resurfacing of streets by mill and overlay and replacement of concrete curb and all
necessary appurtenances bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Bituminous Roadways, Inc. of Mendota Heights, MN is the
lowest responsible bidder complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The bid from Knife River Corporation is rejected for the Plymouth Blvd. Mill and
Overlay Project, City Project No. 12006.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract for Schedule A with Bituminous Roadways Inc. of Mendota Heights, MN in the
name of the City of Plymouth for the improvements in the Plymouth Blvd. Mill and
Overlay Project including Plymouth Blvd., between State Highway 55 and Rockford
Road according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council
and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $473,132.71.
3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
