HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2012-213CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2012-213 A RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR THE FOX GLEN, PIKE LAKE AND 37TH/ AVENUE EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 12002 WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on May 8th, 2012, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost for the improvement located the streets located in three project areas. The Fox Glen area is located on 35th Avenue, 39t1' Avenue and 401h Avenue from Fernbrook Lane to the cul-de-sac east, the cul-de-sacs east and west of Dallas Lane between 36th Avenue and -1 th Place, Dallas Lane from Fernbrook Lane to 39th Avenue and the Dallas Lane cul-de-sac west of Dallas Lane. The second area, Pike Lake, is located southeast of County Road 61 to and including Goldenrod Lane, north of County Road 10 to the City of Maple Grove city limits, excluding Hemlock Lane from the City of Maple Grove to the cul-de-sac south, and includes the area of 61" Avenue to 62"a Avenue from Goldenrod Lane to Deerwood Circle. The third area is located on 37t1' Avenue from Plymouth Boulevard to approximately 1,285 feet east of Plymouth Boulevard, by edge mill and overlay of bituminous pavement, replacement of concrete curb and gutter, watermain and sanitary sewer repairs, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: A hearing shall be held on the 28th day of August, 2012, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. Approved this 24th day of July, 2012.
