HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2012-187CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2012-187 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE FOR MARIA FINTERIKOU KIRSCH TO OPERATE A PERSONAL FITNESS BUSINESS OUT OF THE HOME LOCATED AT 6120 LANEWOOD LANE NORTH (2012006) WHEREAS, Maria Finterikou Kirsch has requested a home occupation license to operate a personal fitness business from her home at 6120 Lanewood Lane North, legally described as follows: Lot 1, Block 6, Taryn Hills, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Maria Finterikou Kirsch for a home occupation license at 6120 Lanewood Lane North, subject to the following conditions: 1. The home occupation license is approved for physical training business in accordance with the application and plans received by the city on January 23, 2012, except as amended by this resolution. 2. Compliance with section 21145 of the zoning ordinance, relating to home occupations. 3. The applicant must meet the following general standards: a) The home occupation would be clearly incidental and secondary to the residential use of the premises, would not change the residential character of the neighborhood, and would not result in a disturbance to the surrounding uses. b) There would be no use of equipment that would cause electrical interference to surrounding properties. c) The applicant shall use the driveway to accommodate parking demand. On -street parking shall not be utilized for parking demand. d) There shall not be exterior storage of equipment used in the home occupation. e) Less than 25 percent of one story of the home would be used for the home occupation. Resolution 2012-187 2012006 Page 2 f) The attached garage shall not be used for the home occupation for storage of equipment. g) No person other than those who reside in the home would be employed on the premises. 4. The home occupation license is valid for one year from the date of approval. The applicant may apply to the zoning administrator for renewal of the home occupation license prior to expiration of the license. ADOPTED by the City Council on June 26, 2012.
