RESOLUTION No. 2014-196
RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR
ASSESSING SERVICES BEGINNING JULY 1, 2014 THROUGH 2016
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has an obligation to complete a property assessment for tax
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City has studied service delivery and explored collaborative options with
Hennepin County; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that these services can be most efficiently delivered
by Hennepin County, while still being sensitive to the customer service needs of the community;
and
WHEREAS, the City Assessor submitted a letter of resignation on May 28, 2014, effective July 7,
2014; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined amending its contract with Hennepin County to begin July 1,
2014 is the most prudent means to ensure service delivery; and
WHEREAS, the contract for services in 2014 is estimated to cost $430,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the 2015 and 2016 Hennepin County Contract for Assessing Services is hereby
amended to begin on July 1, 2014 and is approved.
APPROVED this 10th day of June, 2014.
