RESOLUTION No. 2012-164
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT, ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE REVERE LANE/6T" AVENUE/KILMER LANE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 12005
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted May 22, 2012, a
report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of the area including Revere
Lane from State Highway 55 to approximately 994 feet north of State Highway 55, 6th
Avenue from Revere Lane to Kilmer Lane and Kilmer Lane from 6th Avenue to 13th
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the removal and replacement
the street surface by mill and overlay, concrete curb and gutter repair, storm sewer
stricture repair, loop detector replacement, and all necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on May 22, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed
project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with
the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the
designated Revere Lane/6th Avenue/Kilmer Lane Mill and Overlay Project,
City Project No. 12005 for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398,
as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $527,392.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 24th day
of July, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400
Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the
improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of
such improvement.
