HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2012-094CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2012-094 A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING CITY STAFF'S INTERPRETATION OF THE CITY'S ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO POTBELLY PIGS (201201 5) WHEREAS, on February 28, 2012, Justin R. Chamberlain -Dupree and Nicole J. Wankel requested an appeal of the interpretation of potbelly pigs as farm animals. WHEREAS, when hearing an appeal, the City Council acts in its capacity as the Board of Adjustments and Appeals. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does affirm city staff s interpretation of the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance regarding the classification of potbelly pigs, subject to the following finding: 1. City staff correctly interpreted the legislative intent of the applicable provisions of the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance regarding the classification of potbelly pigs as farm animals. ADOPTED by the Plymouth City Council on March 13, 2012. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS. The undersigned, being the duly qualified and appointed City Clerk of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, certifies that I compared the foregoing resolution adopted at a meeting of the Plymouth City Council on March 13, 2012, with the original thereof on file in my office, and the same is a correct transcription thereof.
