RESOLUTION NO. 2012-078
A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
SECTION 21655 (2011099)
WHEREAS, Allina Hospitals and Clinics has requested approval of a planned unit
development amendment to allow an emergency department addition for the WestHealth Campus
located at 3005 Campus Drive, presently legally described as:
Lots 1 and 3, Block 1, West Suburban Health Campus Second Addition, according to the
recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending the zoning ordinance
text.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request
by Allina Hospitals and Clinics for an amendment to add Section 21655.56 PUD 81-1 (Northwest
Business Campus): Amendment for Westhealth Emergency Department Expansion for Lots 1 and
3 Block 1, West Suburban Health Campus Second Addition, based on the following findings:
1. The proposal is consistent with the CO land use designation on the comprehensive plan land
use guide plan map.
2. The proposal would meet the purpose and intent of the PUD zoning district by providing a
high amenity medical office buildings in a gateway location with access to Northwest
Boulevard, Highway 55, and Interstate 494.
