RESOLUTION No. 2014-141
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROGRAMMATIC AGREEMENT WITH THE
MINNESOTA STATE HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICE FOR HISTORIC REVIEW
OF CDBG ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, Minnesota (the "City'), is a recipient of Community
Development Block Grant ("CDBG') funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development
("HUD"); and
WHEREAS, as a condition of utilizing CDBG funds, HUD requires the City to consult with the State
Historic Preservation Office ("SHPO") regarding potential historic impacts of CDBG program activities;
and
WHEREAS, CDBG activities that by their nature do not affect historic properties could be
exempted from consultation requirements by mutual agreement between the City and SHPO, thereby
reducing workload for both parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, after due consideration, the Mayor and the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby authorize the execution of a Programmatic
Agreement with the Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office that establishes procedures for the
review of historic impacts of CDBG program activities.
