HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2013-080CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2013-080 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT, ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE DUNKIRK LANE MILL Et OVERLAY PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 13007 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 19, 2013, a report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of the area including Dunkirk Lane, from County Road 6 to Medina Road; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the reconstruction of streets by the installation of bituminous pavement and concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer installation, water main valve replacement, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on March 19, 2013; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated Dunkirk Lane Mill & Overlay Project, City Project No. 13007, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $596,758.81. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 14th day of May, 2013, in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
