RESOLUTION 2004-500
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT
AMENDMENT REGARDING THE INDUSTRIAL ZONING DISTRICTS (2004018)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested to amend the Industrial Zoning District
regulations and related definitions of the Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a
duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Zoning Ordinance text amendment regarding
the industrial zoning districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
requested Zoning Ordinance text amendment regarding the industrial zoning districts,
based upon the following findings:
1. The proposed regulations would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan.
2. The proposed amendments would help to broaden the allowable uses in the industrial
districts, providing more options for industrial spaces and also fulfilling special needs
(e.g., clear height requirements) for compatible land uses.
