HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-446CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-446 AWARDING BID CONDENSING BOILERS CENTRAL AND ZACHARY WATER TREATMENT PLANTS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 2032 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Condensing Boilers for the Central and Zachary Water Treatment Plants Improvement Project and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Ryan Company, Inc. B.J. Mulcahy Company, Inc. $79,550 99,000 WHEREAS, it appears that Ryan Company, Inc. of St. Louis Park, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Ryan Company, Inc. of St. Louis Park, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for Mechanical Equipment Procurement for the Central and Zachary Water Treatment Plants Improvement Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $79,550. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding for this project in the amount of $79,550 is from the Water Fund (501). Adopted by the City Council on October 26, 2004.
