HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-406CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 200-406 AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AT FOUR SITES - JUNE 2003 STORM EVENT WHEREAS, the City suffered damages from a significant storm event that occurred on June 24/25, 2003, which caused damage to a number of sites throughout the City; and WHEREAS, the consulting engineering firm, Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc. (SEH) was authorized in July 2003 to conduct a flood analysis of several sites and subsequently additional sites were added for review for a total of ten sites analyzed; and WHEREAS, over a period of months from October 2003 to August 2004, the City Council received flood analysis reports for the ten sites analyzed; and WHEREAS, the City Council gave City staff direction on how to proceed with improvements suggested for the ten sites analyzed; and WHEREAS, there are four sites that require final engineering plans and specifications to be prepared in order to bid these projects as a package for constriction in early 2005; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the engineering consulting firm, Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc. (SEH) is hereby authorized to prepare final plans and specifications in accordance with their engineering services agreement for four sites located at or near 1. 4785 Valley Forge Lane, 2. 11735 - 52nd Ave, 3. 45t1' Ave and Nathan Lane, 4. 2615 / 2605 Jewel Lane. Adopted by the City Council on September 28, 2004.
