RESOLUTION NO. 2004-405
APPROVING THE PHASE II
MEDICINE WATERSHED MANAGEMENT
AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Medicine Lake Watershed Implementation and
Management Plan on October 9, 2001; and
WHEREAS, on September 23, 2003 the City Council reconvened the Medicine Lake
Watershed Subcommittee to fiirther study and provide recommendations on reducing
phosphorus and total suspended solids entering Medicine Lake from Plymouth Creek and
other significant nutrient contributing sources; and
WHEREAS, the Medicine Lake Watershed subcommittee has concluded their review and
examination of these areas and have completed and forwarded a set of recommendations to
the Environmental Quality Committee (EQC); and
WHEREAS, the EQC has reviewed these recommendations as presented in the Phase II
Medicine Lake Watershed Implementation & Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the EQC is recommending that the Plymouth City Council approve and
implement the Phase II Medicine Lake Watershed Implementation & Management Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That Council approves the Phase II Medicine Lake
Watershed Implementation & Management Plan.
Adopted by the City Council on September 28, 2004.
