HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-382CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-382 ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS 2004 DELINQUENT WATER, SEWER, RECYCLING, SURFACE WATER FEE AND STREET LIGHTING SERVICE CHARGES WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for 2004 Delinquent Water, Sewer, Recycling, Surface Water Fee and Street Lighting Service Charges as provided by the City Ordinances and has amended such proposed assessment as it deems just; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part thereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the land named therein and each tract of land herein included is hereby bound to be identified by the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessments shall be payable over a period of one year. Assessments may be paid in fiill to the City of Plymouth Finance Director by October 13, 2004 without additional charge. After October 13, 2004 daily interest charge based on an annual rate of 8.00% starting on September 14, 2004 will be due in addition to the levied assessment. The last date a payment can be accepted by the City of Plymouth is November 30, 2004. After that date interest shall be added from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2005 and payment can only be made to Hennepin County with the 2005 property taxes. 4. The clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the property tax lists of the county and such assessments shall be collected and paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the 2004 Delinquent Water, Sewer, Recycling, Surface Water Fee and Street Lighting Service Charges assessed by this resolution are $106,463.48.
