HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-372CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-372 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID SCHMIDT LAKE BMP IMPLEMENTATION WHEREAS, The City desires to constrict three rain gardens to protect and improve the water quality of Schmidt Lake as recommended in the 2000 Water Resources Management Plan; and WHEREAS, bids were received for the constriction of three rain gardens as best management practices in the Schmidt Lake Watershed, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID HOFFMAN & McNAMARA CO. $48,752.00 MAGNUM COMPANY LLC $49,640.10 SUNRAM CONSTRUCTION INC. $59,366.10 WHEREAS, it appears that HOFFMAN & McNAMARA CO. of Hastings, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with HOFFMAN & McNAMARA CO. of Hastings, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the constriction of three rain gardens as best management practices in the Schmidt Lake Watershed according to the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $48,752.00. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding will be from Water Resource Fund - $72,200. Adopted by the City Council on September 13, 2004.
