RESOLUTION NO. 2004-354
AWARDING BID
2004 STREET MILL AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS (PART 2)
CITY PROJECT NO. 4115
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for constriction of the 2004 Street Mill and
Overlay Improvements (Part 2), and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and
tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

C.S. McCrossan Constriction, Inc. 810,372.20
Northwest Asphalt, Inc. 812,717.03
WHEREAS, the Engineer recommends awarding the contract based on the Base Bid plus any of the
alternates that fit within the City's budget limitations; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Bituminous Roadways, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications for the Base Bid, Alternate 1, and
Alternate 213;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract with Bituminous Roadways, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN in the name of the City of
Plymouth for the constriction of the Base Bid, Alternate 1, and Alternate 2B for the
2004 Street Mill and Overlay Improvements (Part 2) according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Engineer in the amount of $614,887.05.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
3. Funding will be: Street Replacement Fund $698,000
Water Resources Fund $71,000
