RESOLUTION NO. 2004-349
DESIGNATING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AS THE REPRESENTIVE
FOR THE FEDERAL RAILROAD AUTHORITY (FRA) QUIET ZONE
WHEREAS, the City must comply with a new FRA ordinance and desires to work
towards a permanent train horn ban between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am; and
WHEREAS, the City is required to designate a representative to administer the Quiet
Zone;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Public Works
Director is designated as the public authority authorized to administer the Quiet
Zone for the Federal Railroad Authority.
Adopted by the City Council on August 24, 2004.
