HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-337CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2004-337 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO ALLOW TEMPORARY OCCUPANCY OF THE EXISTING PRINCIPAL BUILDING ON SINGLE-FAMILY LOTS DURING CONSTRUCTION OF ANEW HOME (2004080) WHEREAS, William Hull has requested an amendment to Section 21105.03, Subd. 4 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow temporary occupancy of the existing principal building on single-family lots during constriction of a new home; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Zoning Ordinance text amendment allowing, by interim use permit, the temporary occupancy of the existing principal building on single-family lots during constriction of a new home. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the requested Zoning Ordinance text amendment, based upon the following findings: 1. The proposed amendment would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and with the City's ordinances and policies. 2. The required interim use permit would allow the City to place a specific timeline on the temporary use, and to obtain whatever assurances are deemed necessary for the removal of the original stricture upon completion of the new home.
