HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-320CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-320 APPROVING AN "ALL -WAY" STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF PLYMOUTH BOULEVARD, 34TH AVENUE NORTH AND THE CITY HALL ENTRANCE WHEREAS, the volume of traffic will increase at this intersection with the Public Safety building expansion and parking stricture addition; and WHEREAS, Police vehicles will now be using this intersection, instead of using the back entrance directly off of 34th Avenue, to leave City Hall when responding to emergencies; and WHEREAS, the existing right -in right -out entrance to City Hall off of Plymouth Boulevard will be permanently closed and all traffic will use the four-way intersection at Plymouth Boulevard and 30h Avenue North to enter and exit City Hall; and WHEREAS, to improve safety and reduce the potential for accidents, the City Engineer recommends the installation of an all -way stop at this intersection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That an "All -Way" stop be installed at the intersection of Plymouth Boulevard, 34th Avenue North and the City Hall Entrance. Adopted by the City Council on August 10, 2004.
