RESOLUTION NO. 2004-309
APPROVING SALE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF NORTHWEST BOULEVARD AND SCHMIDT LAKE ROAD, PID
# 10-118-22-42-0001, TO HERITAGE DEVELOPMENT FOR $700,000.00
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth owns the above referenced property, which it acquired
as part of a road reconstruction project in 1992; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council held a public hearing to consider the sale of the
City owned property on May 9, 2004 and determined that it was the appropriate time to
sell the property; and
WHEREAS, the City drafted a Request for Proposals (RFP), advertised the RFP to
various housing developers and received three proposals to buy and develop the City
owned property; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council determined that Heritage Development submitted
the best proposal to meet the goals of the HRA and City, and that the sale of the property
would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it hereby approves the sale of
the City owned property at the southwest corner of Northwest Boulevard and Schmidt
Lake Road, PID # 10-118-22-42-0001, to Heritage Development for $700,000.00 and
authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to sign all necessary documents related to the
sale.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council directs the proceeds from the sale
of the property goes into the street reconstruction fiend.
