HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-288CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-288 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WATER TREATMENT PLANTS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 2032 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on May 25, 2004, the City's Consulting Engineer, Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for the Central Water Treatment Plant Improvements by the installation of a new Water Treatment Facility adjacent to the existing plant which will match the current treatment capacity of 13 million gallons per day; and WHEREAS, plans and specifications have also been completed for the upgrade and expansion of the Zachary Water Treatment Plant which will increase treatment capacity from 7.5 to 15 million gallons per day; and WHEREAS, such plans and specifications are presented to the City Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's Office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 2:00 p.m. on August 11, 2004 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
