RESOLUTION NO. 2004-287
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
2004 STREET MILL AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS (PART 1)
CITY PROJECT NO. 4111
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for constriction of the 2004 Street Mill and
Overlay Improvements, and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

Hardrives, Inc. $396,350.61
Bituminous Roadways 417,342.50
Midwest Asphalt Corporation 434,499.30
Northwest Asphalt 446,405.20
WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, MN is the lowest responsible bidder,
complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract with Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
constriction of the 2004 Street Mill and Overlay Improvements according to the plans
and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the
City Engineer in the amount of $396,350.61.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
3. Funding will be: 2004 Mill and Overlay, $470,000 from the Street Replacement Fund,
and Schmidt Lake Boat Launch, $25,400 from the Water Resources Fund.
