RESOLUTION 2004-280
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT
AMENDMENT TO SECTION 21465.03 TO ALLOW "MEDICAL, DENTAL, AND
CHIROPRACTIC OFFICES AND CLINICS" AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE C-3
(HIGHWAY COMMERICAL) DISTRICT (2004063)
WHEREAS, the Endodontic Professional Associates, P.A., has requested to amend the
Zoning Ordinance to permit "Medical, Dental, and Chiropractic Offices and Clinics" in the
C-3 zoning district; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a
duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow
"Medical, Dental, and Chiropractic Offices and Clinics" as a permitted use in the C-3
zoning district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
requested Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow "Medical, Dental, and Chiropractic
Offices and Clinics" as a permitted use in the C-3 zoning district, based upon the following
findings:
1. The use is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and the C (Commercial) guiding of
C-3 (Highway Commercial) zoned properties.
2. The use is compatible with the other allowable uses in the C-3 district, and is
consistent with the purpose and intent of the C-3 district.
