RESOLUTION NO. 2004-271
APPROVING MUNICIPAL WASTE ABATEMENT
INCENTIVE FUND AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has established a Municipal Waste Abatement Incentive
Fund to provide assistance to selected municipal residential waste abatement projects and
to distribute fiends to the Cities for development and implementation of waste reduction
and recycling programs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has made application for a residential waste abatement
project grant and has been selected; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to increase paper recycling, understand citizen awareness of
recycling organic waste and evaluate the ongoing curbside recycling program in
anticipation of upcoming contract expiration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the City enter into the Municipal
Waste Abatement Incentive Fund Agreement with Hennepin County.
