HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-269CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-269 AWARD CONTRACT 2004 TRAIL PROJECT: NATHAN LANE/ HWY. 55 FRONTAGE ROAD CITY PROJECT NO. 4113 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the installation of a bituminous trail along the east side of Nathan Lane from the Minnetonka border to 1,100 feet north and along the south side of the Hwy. 55 Frontage Road from Nathan Lane to Quaker Lane, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Base Bid Magnum Company $57,859.85 Barber Constriction, Inc. $63,872.50 Midwest Asphalt $65,166.40 Sunram $65,723.50 Bituminous Roadways $92,639.50 WHEREAS, it appears that Magnum Company of Lino Lakes, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; and WHEREAS, the bid is $9,477.15 or 14% below the Engineer's Estimate of $67,337.00; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends the project be awarded to Magnum Company of Lino Lakes, MN NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract for the bid with Magnum Company of Lino Lakes, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 2004 Trail Project: Nathan Lane/Hwy. 55 Frontage Road according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $57,859.85. FURTHERMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the fiinding for this project shall be from the Park Dedication Fund. Adopted by the City Council on July 13, 2004.
