HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-257CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2004-257 APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH TO REMOVE THE PROPOSED SEGMENT OF MEDINA ROAD BETWEEN VICKSBURG AND DUNKIRK LANES (2003114) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested consideration of removing the proposed segment of Medina Road between Vicksburg and Dunkirk Lanes from the Transportation Plan of the Comprehensive Plan; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve removing the proposed segment of Medina Road between Vicksburg and Dunkirk Lanes from the Transportation Plan of the Comprehensive Plan. Accordingly, the following changes shall be made to the Plan: 1. Figure 7-3 Functional Classification shall be revised to delete the fiiture major collector designation from Medina Road between Vicksburg and Dunkirk Lanes. 2. Section 7.2.1.3 Major Collectors shall be revised to delete the bullet that identifies Medina Road from Dunkirk Lane to Vicksburg Lane as a major collector. 3. Figure 7-7 Planned Roadway Improvements shall be revised to delete the segment of Medina Road between Vicksburg and Dunkirk Lanes. FURTHER, approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment is contingent upon, and subject to, the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council. Adopted by the City Council on June 28, 2004.
