HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-251City of Plymouth Resolution No. 2004-251 REQUESTING THAT THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT GRANT EASEMENTS FOR WATER QUALITY PONDING AND STORM SEWER ADJACENT TO THE LUCE LINE SOUTH OF PARKERS LAKE WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth previously conveyed the Luce Line property from I- 494 to Vicksburg Lane to the Three Rivers Park District; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is proposing to build a water quality pond and storm sewer system as part of the Kingsview Lane street reconstruction project; and WHEREAS, this water quality pond is not a required part of the project, but would enhance water quality by treating the previously untreated water that runs directly from the roadway under the Luce Line and into Parkers Lake; and WHEREAS, the reconstruction project will be constricted this summer and there is a short window of opportunity to add this water quality element to the project. WHEREAS, the City has been notified that the Three Rivers Park District Board considered the City's easement request and did not approve it. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plymouth City Council hereby requests that the Three Rivers Park District grant the request of the City of Plymouth for easements relating to the Kingsview Lane reconstruction project. Adopted by the Plymouth City Council on June 22, 2004.
