HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-224CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-224 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE DEDICATED ALLEY WITHIN THE PLAT OF ELMHURST WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate part of the platted alley within Elmhurst; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for June 8, 2004 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 and the City Charter Section 12.06; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of June 8, 2004; and WHEREAS, all property owners adjacent to the proposed vacation were duly notified by mail; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on June 8, 2004 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of said platted alley within Elmhurst; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said alley is not needed for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the following platted alley description be vacated: That part of the alley dedicated in ELMHURST, lying 100 feet southerly of the south right-of-way line of Goldie Avenue extended, as dedicated in ELMHURST.
