RESOLUTION NO. 2004-223
RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
2004 STREET RECONSTRUCTION
BURL OAKS AND KINGSVIEW AREAS
CITY PROJECT NO. 4102
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of
Kingsview Lane and 4th Avenue, north of Gleason Lake Road (Kingsview area);
and east of County Road 101 and north of the Luce Line Trail, including 5th
Avenue, 6t1' Avenue, Kimberly Lane, and the adjacent cul-de-sacs (Burl Oaks
area)
by the reconstruction of bituminous streets including new concrete curb and gutter and storm
sewer in the Kingsview area, concrete curb and gutter and storm sewer repair in the Burl Oaks
area, and all necessary appurtenances, and the contract price for such improvement is
$1,147,361.02 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement
amount to $229,472.20 so the total cost of the improvement will be $1,376,833.22 and of this
cost the City will pay $969,370.55 as its share of the cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be
$407,462.67.
2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the
proper amount to be special assessed from such improvement against every accessible
lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash
valuation, as provided by the law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment
in the office for public inspection.
3. The Clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment notify the City Council
thereof.
