RESOLUTION NO. 2012-020
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE RESIDENTIAL
COMPOSTING GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Environmental Quality Committee and City Council support
environmental education, recycling, and other practices which reduce waste, including composting;
and
WHEREAS, the Composting Grant Program as developed by the Environmental Quality
Committee is intended to encourage residential waste reduction and composting practices, to
demonstrate potential for environmental protection while maintaining practicality, and to reduce
barriers to residential composting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The residential Composting Grant Program is hereby approved.
2. Funding shall be from the Solid Waste Fund.
