RESOLUTION NO. 2012-008
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT TANDEM DUMP TRUCK
WHEREAS, There is approval in the 2012 CIP to replace one tandem axle dump trick
with related equipment through the Central Equipment replacement fiend; and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off the State of Minnesota contracts,
and
WHEREAS, Boyer Tricks has a contract with the State for this trick chassis meeting the
City's specifications, Contract #31603, and
WHEREAS, Tow Master Inc. has a contract with the State for snow plow trick
components and accessories meeting the City's specifications, Contract 439250.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, to purchase one (1) current model Tandem
Axle Trick Chassis from Boyer Tricks and the related equipment to complete the trick with
hauling and snow plowing/ice control equipment from Tow Master Inc. The amount due to
Boyer Tricks will be $102,663.27 and due to Tow Master Inc. is $107,603.88 including sales
tax. Sales tax due to the state at registration for the chassis portion is $6,673.11 for a total
expenditure of $216,940.26 to purchase this trick.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, the fiinding will be from 600 70 760 76001 8100.500.
