RESOLUTION No. 2013-065
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PUD AMENDMENT FOR ASSOCIATION FREE LUTHERAN
BIBLE COLLEGE LOCATED AT 3134 EAST MEDICINE LAKE BOULEVARD (98163)
WHEREAS, Associate Free Lutheran Bible College has requested approval of a planned
unit development (PUD) amendment to allow revisions to the approved PUD general plan for
their site located at 3134 East Medicine Lake Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is legally described as Lot 2, Block 1, AFLS Addition,
Hennepin County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
hearing and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request
by Associate Free Lutheran Bible College for a PUD amendment to allow revisions to their
approved PUD general plan, subject to the following conditions:
The PUD amendment is hereby approved, in accordance with the application materials
received by the City on December 13, 2012 and January 8, 2013, except as may be amended
by this resolution.
2. All conditions of Resolution No. 98-753 approving the PUD general plan for Associate Free
Lutheran Bible College shall remain in full force, except as specifically amended by this
resolution.
The allowable size of the planned gymnasium/music ministry building is hereby changed
from 30,100 square feet to 38,950 square feet, for an increase of 8,850 square feet, provided
that the general location, footprint, and height of this building would not change from the
approved PUD general plan. The added square footage would be in the form of additional
basement area that would be used for locker rooms and storage.
4. The allowable size of the two fiiture dormitories is hereby changed from 19,300 square feet
each to 25,000 square feet each, for an increase of 5,700 square feet per dormitory building,
provided that the general location and footprint of these buildings would not change from
the approved PUD general plan. The added square footage would be in the form of second
story space over the commons area that would connect the two halves of each two-story
dormitory building.

5. The applicant may add 32 parking stalls along the inside of the existing circular drive aisle
in the area east of the future dormitories.
