Special Council Meeting
September 25, 2001
A Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council was called to order by Mayor Tierney at
5:30 p.m. in the Bass Lake Room, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on September 25, 2001.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Tierney, Councilmembers Johnson, Hewitt, Stein, Black,
and Slavik.
ABSENT: Councilmember Harstad.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Johnson, Assistant City Manager Ahrens, and City
Clerk Paulson.
Mayor Tierney stated the purpose of this Special Meeting is to interview youth for
positions on the Youth Advisory Council and the Human Rights Commission.
Councilmember Johnson suggested the Council increase the number of youth on the
Youth Advisory Council from eight members to 11 members. She stated that this
commission is very goal oriented and having greater participation would only make the
commission better.
The Council interviewed a total of 10 students and recommended the following
appointments:
Youth Advisory Council (terms to expire Anri130, 2002):
Ifna Ejebe, Ward 1
Katelyn Donnelly, Ward 2
Katie Bonneville, Ward 3
Danny Taylor, Ward 4
Brianna Cohen, At -Large
Jameson Johnson, At -Large
Alison Rapacz, At -Large
Supriya Gandham, At -Large
Eric Jungels, At -Large
Archana Balasubramanyam, At -Large
Mark Lenhardt, At -Large
Human Rights Commission (terms to correspond with the grade level of each student appointed)
Prathyusha Mandavilli, At -Large
Anay Bedi, Alternate

It was noted that during the interview process, there were students who indicated an
interest in serving on the Environmental Quality Committee (EQC). Councilmember
Black stated she would add this item to the next EQC agenda.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
