HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 06-12-2001 SpecialAdopted Minutes Special Council Meeting June 12, 2001 A Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council was called to order by Mayor Tierney at 5:40 p.m. in the Public Safety Training Room, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on June 12, 2001. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Tierney; Councilmembers Slavik, Hewitt, Stein, and Johnson. ABSENT: Councilmembers Harstad and Black. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Johnson and Assistant City Manager Ahrens. Public Works Director Finalists The City Council met with each of the finalists for the position of Public Works Director -- Dan Faulkner and Jim Grube. Set Future Study Sessions Motion was made by Councilmember Hewitt, seconded by Councilmember Johnson, to establish budget study sessions for August 29 and September 4 at 7:00 p.m. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion was made by Mayor Tierney, seconded by Councilmember Stein, to establish a study session for Tuesday, August 21, with the following topics: Liquor issues, South Shore Drive Safety improvements, Second-hand smoke, and consider future study sessions. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion was made by Councilmember Slavik, seconded by Councilmember Johnson, to set a special meeting for June 26 at 6:30 p.m. to tour new Metrolink buses in front of City Hall. Motion carried by unanimous vote. The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m. Sandra R. Paulson, City Clerk
