RESOLUTION No. 2014-057
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLYMOUTH FIRE CHIEF TO ENTER INTO MUTUAL
AID AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Fire Department provides fire and emergency services to the
City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a dynamic community with evolving demands for
service; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Fire Chief continually reviews fire service needs within the
community; and
WHERAS, from time to time, the Plymouth Fire Chief may identify a need for enhanced
agreements with neighboring jurisdictions to provide appropriate level of fire service; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council desires to enhance the emergency response
provided by the Plymouth Fire Department through collaborative agreements; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Plymouth Fire Chief is authorized to enter into
mutual aid agreements for fire services, as approved by the City Manager, with a maximum
duration of one year.
