RESOLUTION No. 2014-054
APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE TOBACCO -FREE POLICY
TO ADD ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department is committed to
the quality of life for residents; and
WHEREAS, electronic cigarettes are now a commonly used form of tobacco product;
and
WHEREAS, the Department has a Tobacco -Free Policy on all City -owned parkland,
park facilities, open space or joint City/School District properties; and
WHEREAS, electronic cigarettes will now be added to the list of tobacco products
prohibited from public spaces; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that an amendment to the Tobacco -Free
Policy to add electronic cigarettes as a form of tobacco is hereby approved.
