RESOLUTION No. 2014-051
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REVISED TITLE VI COMPLIANCE AND
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN AND THE LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY PLAN
WHEREAS, the city of Plymouth is a regional transit provider receiving fiends through the
Metropolitan Council and therefore must comply with the Title VI Civil Rights Act of 1964 and
associated federal laws; and
WHEREAS, the city of Plymouth is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from
participation in, or denied the benefits of transit services because of race, color, national origin, sex, age,
disability or socioeconomic status; and
WHEREAS, the city of Plymouth provides service and assistance to everyone in a fair,
competent and effective manner to ensure each person's services are equally safe, reliable, convenient,
and accessible; and
WHEREAS, the city of Plymouth will not tolerate discrimination by its employees or
contractors; and
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Council requires revisions to the Title VI Compliance and
Implementation Plan and the Limited English Proficiency Plan adopted by the City Council on
November 26, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA the revised Title VI Compliance and Implementation Plan and the
Limited English Proficiency Plan is hereby approved.
