HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2014-047CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2014-047 A RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO. 2 AND FINAL CHURCHILL FARMS EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 13021 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner and Northwest Asphalt, Inc. as the contractor, have entered into an agreement for the Churchill Farms Edge Mill and Overlay Project, City Project No. 13021, said agreement was approved by the City Council on August 27, 2013; and WHEREAS, the Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the final request for payment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that, 1. The original contract amount was $463,403.00 and the value of the work to date is $489,145.27 and is herewith approved. 2. Work performed by the contractor for the Churchill Farms Edge Mill and Overlay Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is hereby released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 2 and Final in the amount of $24,457.26 to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. for the Churchill Farms Edge Mill and Overlay Project is hereby approved and the Administrative Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith. The total project cost is $562,517.06. The project will be funded through the Street Reconstruction Fund ($208,517.06) and assessments ($354,000.00). APPROVED this 11th day of February, 2014.
