APPROVING THE FILLING OF WETLANDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
WETLAND CREDIT PURCHASE AGREEMENTS FOR
THE WETLAND REPLACEMENT PLAN APPLICATION
FOR PEONY LANE NORTH OF SCHMIDT LAKE ROAD
CITY PROJECT NO. 10015
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is proposing to fill wetlands for improvements to Peony
Lane north of Schmidt Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, a replacement plan application was prepared replacing the wetlands at a
minimum 2:1 ratio which is required by the Wetland Conservation Act; and
WHEREAS, wetland mitigation for the Peony Lane Improvements north of Schmidt Lake
Road shall be in the form of wetland bank credits; and
WHEREAS, allocation of wetland bank credits for mitigation shall be 125,858 to the Board of
Water and Soil Resources Road Replacement Program, 54,260 to the City of Maple Grove, and
205,518 to the City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the cost of wetland credits to the City of Plymouth is $200,377.78; and
WHEREAS, the Replacement Plan meets the requirements of the Wetland Conservation Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the filling of wetlands and the Replacement Plan
Application for the Peony Lane Improvements north of Schmidt Lake Road is hereby approved and
subject to the following conditions:
The replacement wetlands must be constricted prior to or concurrent with wetland
impacts.
2. Funding in the amount of $200,377.78 shall be from Constriction Fund 400-90-940-
94000-9900.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to execute the Wetland
Replacement Plan Application and purchase agreements for wetland credits for the Peony Lane
Improvements Project, City Project No. 10015.
