RESOLUTION No. 2014-037
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING TE GRANT FOR NORTHWEST GREENWAY/VICKSBURG
PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has a Comprehensive Park & Trail Plan; and
WHEREAS, said Comprehensive Park & Trail Plan includes a master plan for the
Northwest Greenway; and
WHEREAS, the adopted Northwest Greenway Trail Plan includes a pedestrian bridge
over Vicksburg Lane; and
WHEREAS, said bridge is necessary for the safety and enjoyment of the Northwest
Greenway trail users; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Greenway connects to the Three Rivers Regional Trail
System; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Greenway will ultimately connect to the cities of Maple
Grove and Medina; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the City Council of Plymouth, Minnesota, is
in support of federal funding for the pedestrian TE application for the Northwest Greenway/
Vicksburg Pedestrian Bridge.
