RESOLUTION No. 2014-024
APPROVING A GRADE -SEPARATED CROSSING ON
VICKSBURG LANE AT THE CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILROAD
FOR VICKSBURG LANE FROM SCHMIDT LAKE ROAD TO MAPLE GROVE BORDER
RECONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 16001
WHEREAS, the Vicksburg Lane Reconstruction and Expansion Project is listed in the
2014-2018 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, an at -grade and grade -separated crossings on Vicksburg Lane at the
Canadian Pacific Railroad were evaluated; and
WHEREAS, a grade -separated crossing was determined to best meet the City's needs
because: it has increased safety benefits, no operational delays due to the train, simplified storm
water management and is less expensive than an at -grade crossing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, a grade -separated crossing on Vicksburg Lane
at the Canadian Pacific Railroad is approved.
