RESOLUTION No. 2014-004
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM CENTERPOINT ENERGY
FOR FIREWORKS AT FIRE AND ICE FESTIVAL
WHEREAS, CenterPoint Energy recently surveyed 1,200 community leaders in Minnesota
asking for their input on how CenterPoint Energy is doing in meeting the needs and expectations of their
communities; and
WHEREAS, as an incentive to encourage timely completion, respondents that returned the
survey promptly were included in a random drawing where four communities were selected to receive a
$250 contribution to be used by their cities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth was one of the winners in their drawing; and
WHEREAS, CenterPoint Energy's area manager has requested that their $250 donation be used
for the fireworks at this year's Fire and Ice Festival,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, accepts the $250 donation from CenterPoint Energy for fireworks at
this year's Fire and Ice Festival.
Approved this 14th day of January, 2014
