The redesigned wall Is being installed on the first level of the bulldinq. The architect has been asked to itte:mpt to find deducts In an equal amount on the project. The contractor has also requested a substantial increase because of alleged project delays. The contractor and architect have been asked to substantiate this request. The Council questioned why the architect did not know that this type of fire -rated corridor was necessary, part lculdv• ly since the architect wA s chosen because of previous fire station design exper!ence. There is also the question of whether the stdte had authority to require plan review by them for a fire station.
