Councilmember Sisk stated that staff hds reviewed :iddltiunal alternates and the Council has addressed the amaint of Information given to the citizens over a period of time. The determination of whether the need for the roadway exists today will rest with the DNR. The City will need to prove that justification to DNR. Counctlmember Sisk did not believe there were findings in the Environmental Assessment Worksheet to warrant an Envtronmrntal Impact Statement, CounclimembRr Zitur read U, letter received from a resident, in support of the Schmidt Lake Read extension as proposed. Notion carried, four ayes. Tom Stenoien, 105tO 49t1s Avenue North, stated that the Environmental Assessment Worksheet %as incomplete Ahd questioned the need for the roadway extensir". He presented a letter from a Sierra Club Chapter indicatirg #.rat the Club may support opposition to the completion of this roadway through a DNR protected wetland. Councilmember Sisk suggested that Mr. Stenoien contact the DNR with his concerns.
