Their records Indicate that they lost 21 days but they are not asking for the entire time, only the 14 caused by the extraordinary rainfall. They approve the request. Mdyor Schneider asked what further affect the wedther will have on the project. Mr. Folkert answered that do early freeze would be a disaster •a the project. Unless there are changes requested by the City, he cannot foresee any further requests for extensions caused by the weather. He further stated that the contractor would not be re- questing any further time extensions as d result of weather con- dlt.lons up to this date. They also would not be requesting any chdnges In the contract amount as a result of weather condl- tlons. Mr. Olson staled the contract requirements dre that events that cdn be expected to occur dre the contractor's risk. The rain- fall Is d wedther event that is above and beyond that which could be expected to happen. Therefore, they concluded that the request Is reasonable.
