Mdyor Schneldrr stated the purpose of the meeting was to review the Assessinq
Ulvision's recommenddtions upon retdpprdisdl of properties whose estimated 1987
value wds dppealed at the public hedrinq on June 2, 1987.
Assessor Novel stdted there dry, letters of objection in addltlon to those who
dppedred in person dt. the June 2 Board of Review.
Mayor Schneider pointed ou` that thEb Council had ttce authority to change the

Mayor Schneider pointed out that Mr. Karnitz did not al:ow the appraisers Into his
home. Mr. Karnitr stated he did not trust the appraisers.

Mr. Hovet stated Plymouth Creek is a unique neighborhood and that the 1980 value
of this property was $143,900.

dccept the staff recommendation of no chenge in the 1987 estimated market value
for Patrick Hallisey, 4065 Quantico Lane.

MOTION was male by Councllmember Vasiliou, seconded by Councilmember litur, to
accept the staff recommendation to reduce the 1987 estimated Markel value for Tony
kruenke, 18525 6trt Ave. to $203,500.
Mr. kroenke stated he has had three realtors to his house since the first Boaro of
kevlew on June 2. He listed the Items and the cost to replace them if he wants to
sell his home.
CounellmWier Vasillou stated these are cosmetic and shouldn't enter into market
value. She a(led that she doesn't understand why the City should reduce the value
because of cosmc.tic problems.
Mr. Ho -%et stated the Ferndale North neig;iborhood is very stable; there is no such
thilig as a bad lot or depressed sale in Ferndale North. There are a lot of
compdral les af.d they are all within the $210,000-$230,000 range.
