SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
SEPTEMBER 2, 1986

A special meeting of the Plymouth City Council was called to
order by Mayor Schneider at 5:45 p.m. in the City Council Chaw-
y bars of the City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard on September
2, 1986.

PRESENT: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, titur, Sisk,
and Vasillou, City Manager Willis, Public Works Direc-
tor Moore, and City Attorney Thomson
ABSENT: None
City Manager Willis stated the purpose of this Special Council
meeting was to consider the award of the contract for the clean -
a Ing, repairing and painting of the M.I.P. Nater tower.

Director Moore stated that bids had been received on August 25
for this work. The bids received have been reviewed by the City
Attorney's office, the consulting engineer, and staff. As a re-
sult of this investigation, it is recommended that the contrast
be awarded to Andrew Langumq Inc. in the amount of $88,500.
Discussion followed concerning the meaning of "responsible bid-
der" es contained within the State Statutes.
NOTION was made by Councilmember Sisk, seconded by Councilmember
Iitur, to aa'opt RESOLUTION NO. 86-532 ACCEPTING BID FOR CLEAN-
Ii:G, REPAIRING AND PAINTING OF THE IeI.P. WATER TOWER.
Notion carried on a Roll Call vote, five ayes.
The meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
